When you start to play a new game or get involved with a new sport it stands to reason that you will usually be quite a way behind the people you know who are already playing the game and are used to it. This can sometimes make you feel as though you are not good enough to play but this is not the case, everyone starts somewhere and all you need is some golf swing instruction to help you on your way to hitting like a pro.

There are various ways in which you can get instruction on your golf swing all of which can pay off if you are keen to learn and put your all into your practise. You could opt to pay for instructional lessons that will help you with your golf swing and show you the areas that you could brush up on to raise your game significantly. This is a way that is preferred by a lot of players as a professional golfer will be able to see where you are going wrong straight away and show you new techniques which will help you to be a great player.

If this method is too expensive for you then why not get yourself a DVD which will show you some pointers on how to improve your golf swing and which you can watch as many times as you need to. This can be useful but it is not as practical as being taught on the course or on the driving range.

Maybe you have a friend that plays golf and could help you and give you instruction on your golf swing. This can be a good idea as you would be more relaxed with a friend helping you and of course this method is free of charge.

I love this book. Somehow golfers always think there is some secret that once discovered will change them forever. After playing this game since I was 12 and reading more books than I care to admit, I agree with Jacobs that the only secret to golf is getting impact correct. Sensing/feeling impact isn't easy but the ball tells all. Don't play your slice anymore. - -
I value this book. It tells you how, like all the other books to setup correctly but by understanding the physics of ball flight it gives you the confidence to trust that setup and make adjustments. It explains what is going on with your swing and grip by helping you understand the flight of the ball. It's a quick read and re-read.

A super tool for the beginer or other golfer who hasn't figured out what's happening when they hit the ball. Good if you shoot say over 95. I was a little disapointed in the brevity of the book, ( a careful reading took me less than two hours). It is as clear as it gets and it was usefull, but if your looking to break 90 or lower, look elsewhere.



Great for Not-So-Great Players - -
I've only golfed for about 3 years, off and on, and I've always been afflicted by a monster slice. After reading this, I noticed results the first time I played. It didn't "cure" my problem, but it vastly improved the situation by focusing me the real causes of the slice. It really helped for hitting the long ball...and translated well for the short game. I loved it.
